Our newly renovated open plan room for 2 to 3 year olds provides the link between day nursery and pre-school. Having direct access to our gardens and woodland with lots of quality resources for children to choose from it’s a fabulous space for them to learn and explore.
The children benefit from a consistently dynamic approach to teaching and learning, delivered by experienced and dedicated staff. We believe that children learn through play and we provide many opportunities for free-choice play using open-ended, educational materials. Our activities are planned to provide for, and facilitate, the seven areas of learning and development – communication and language; physical development; personal, social and emotional development; literacy; mathematics; understanding the world and expressive arts and design.
Our outdoor area is a very important part of Stretton Lodge and even our youngest children love to get outside. We know that there are enormous benefits to gain from learning outdoors and we like to spend time in our gardens every day.
